What services do you offer?

We provide comprehensive care across obstetrics, gynaecology, imaging, menopause management, health & nutrition and more. Please contact our admin team to book an appointment.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

Some services may require a referral, especially specialist consultations. Please check with our admin team before your appointment.

Where can I park?

No need to worry about finding street parking, getting caught in the rain, or navigating nearby multi-level car parks. We have plenty of complimentary patient parking at our Spring Hill location. Please call our admin team before you arrive for access details, including the pin-code to access the basement parking.

What are the fees?

Quality matters, but so does cost. Please reach out to our admin team and they will tell you everything you want to know.

Need to reschedule?

We get it, life happens! We'll find a new time that works for you. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the appointment to another patient.

What does a pregnancy journey look like?

Once your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive our comprehensive Pregnancy Management Booklet so you can feel informed and supported every step of the way. This guide includes everything you need to know: appointment timelines, fee details, recommended tests, and delivery options.

What tests will I need during pregnancy?

Our obstetricians will arrange any tests you need during your pregnancy. These will include a combination of ultrasounds and blood tests (including NIPT, genetic carrier screening, and diabetes screening). 

Can I choose my delivery hospital?

We only deliver at Mater Mothers Hospital, which is highly regarded for maternity care due to its comprehensive services, advanced facilities and reputation for excellence.

Do you offer care for high-risk pregnancies?

Yes! We collaborate with multiple specialists as needed in complex pregnancies (MFM, Neonatology, Obstetric Medicine and more).

When should I start seeing a gynaecologist?

There is no right answer for this. We are here to help with your concerns at any age, from adolescence through to menopause. Your GP can help support this decision too. Exams are tailored to comfort and need.

What is included in a well-woman consult?

We will typically discuss things like periods, sexual health, and general wellbeing. We will perform cervical screening, and refer for screening tests such as mammograms and ultrasounds. A pelvic examination will only be performed if indicated, and in your own time.

Do you offer contraception options?

Yes! We will offer and discuss all options (pills, IUDs, Implants and permanent sterilisation).

What if I have irregular or painful periods?

We offer diagnostic evaluations and treatment options including conservative, medical or surgical options. 

For Patients

Do I need a referral for my scan?
Not usually. As an existing patient of Belle, our specialists will write your referral to Belle Imaging. Our administration team will let you know at the time of booking an appointment if you do need to organise a referral.

How do I book an appointment?
You can book with our team by phone or through our website, and our friendly administration team will explain anything you need to know before your visit.

Do I need to prepare for my scan?
It depends on the type of scan. Some require no preparation, while others may involve simple steps like drinking water beforehand. We’ll guide you clearly when you book so you feel prepared and comfortable.

Do I need a full bladder?
For some scans, having a comfortably full bladder is helpful. If this applies to you, we’ll let you know in advance — there’s no need to feel uncomfortable.

How long will my appointment take?
Most appointments take between 30 and 60 minutes. We allow enough time so your scan feels thorough, unhurried, and respectful of your experience.

Can I bring someone with me?
You’re very welcome to bring a support person. Many patients find this reassuring, especially during pregnancy-related scans.

Can I bring children to my appointment?
To help maintain a calm and focused environment, we recommend arranging care for young children where possible, or bringing another adult who can supervise them during your visit. Our practice is well equipped to entertain young children with supervision.

Can I find out the sex of my baby?
In many cases, this can be identified during later pregnancy scans. We’ll always check your preference first, and sometimes it simply depends on baby’s positioning on the day.

Will I receive my results on the day?
Your report is usually sent directly to your referring doctor, who will talk you through the results and next steps. Where appropriate, we may share images or general information with you on the day.

How much will my scan cost?
Costs vary depending on the type of scan and Medicare eligibility. Our team will explain any fees clearly before your appointment so there are no surprises.

When do I pay for my appointment?
Payment is made on the day. We accept standard payment methods including EFTPOS and credit card.

What happens if I’m running late?
If you’re running behind, please let us know. We’ll always try to help, but sometimes we may need to reschedule to ensure each patient receives the time and care they deserve.

Do you run on time?
We do our best to run to schedule while allowing enough time for each patient to feel heard, supported, and never rushed.

What are your opening hours?

Is parking available?
Yes, there is free on-site parking available for your convenience.

For Referrers

What referrals do you accept?
We accept all referrals from GPs, specialists, midwives, and allied health professionals.

How do I refer a patient?
Referrals can be provided directly to the patient or sent to our team. We’re always happy to assist if you need support with bookings or coordinating care.

Do patients need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are required for Belle Imaging services so we can allocate sufficient time and ensure a smooth experience.

What preparation is required for scans?
Preparation varies depending on the scan. Our team provides clear instructions directly to patients at the time of booking to ensure they arrive appropriately prepared.

How long are appointments?
Typically between 30 and 60 minutes. We allow adequate time for each examination to ensure high-quality imaging and a considered, unhurried patient experience.

How are results communicated?
Reports are sent directly to the referring practitioner. Urgent or significant findings are communicated promptly where appropriate.

Can patients request a female sonographer?
Yes, and, presently, all of our sonographers are female!

Do you offer specialised women’s imaging?
Yes. Belle Imaging is integrated within a multidisciplinary women’s health clinic, allowing close collaboration with referring practitioners and a more holistic approach to patient care.

How do you support continuity of care?
We work closely with referring clinicians to ensure imaging is aligned with the broader clinical picture, supporting timely, informed decision-making for patients.

What support is available for menopause?

We will discuss your symptoms, investigate where necessary, and offer treatment tailored to your needs (lifestyle, non-hormonal, and hormonal replacement therapy). 

Our affiliate, Soul Sister Health, also focuses on providing practical, sustainable changes to nutrition, exercise and daily habits to support postnatal recovery and manage perimenopause.

What is pelvic floor physiotherapy?

Performed by a specialist women’s health physiotherapist, you will have a comprehensive assessment, addressing issues such as incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain due to tight muscles. We can also optimise pelvic floor health during pregnancy, and help with postpartum recovery. 

Do you offer breastfeeding education?

Yes! We host a range of events during the year to support women in their breastfeeding journey. Please consult our admin team for more details about our calendar of events.

Can I access sonography services directly?

Yes! We will soon offer in-house sonography for pregnancy and gynaecological assessments.
