She has also worked as a Registered Midwife in the birthing suites of the Mater Mothers' Hospital in South Brisbane for the past five years. She is deeply passionate about women-centered care and has a special interest in supporting expectant mums and their partners to prepare for birth and navigate those precious first weeks at home with their newborn.

Outside of work, Carrie enjoys Pilates, watching the Office on repeat, and - most of all - being a mum to her energetic two-year-old son, who certainly keeps her on her toes!

Dr Jill Cox

Dr Jill Cox founded Belle Women’s Health because she cares deeply about providing compassionate, evidence-based, holistic care to women. She brings warmth, clinical expertise, and a deeply personal approach to women’s healthcare.
Jill is known for her down-to-earth manner, making her a trusted presence for women navigating all stages of reproductive health.
With extensive experience in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Cox offers consultations for a wide range of conditions, with particular interests in colposcopy, menstrual dysfunction, and pelvic pain. She understands that discussing gynaecological health can feel confronting, and is committed to creating a safe, respectful space where patients feel heard and supported.

Dr Petrina Duncan

Dr Petrina Duncan is known for her compassionate, patient-centred approach and commitment to clinical excellence. She has extensive experience working in a tertiary referral hospital, where she manages complex cases and provides care across the full spectrum of obstetrics and gynaecology.
Petrina takes pride in listening carefully and communicating clearly, helping women feel informed and confident in their healthcare decisions. She is passionate about supporting women through every stage of life and believes strongly in shared decision-making, ensuring care is tailored to each patient’s values, lifestyle and goals.
She provides care for both low and high-risk pregnancies and has a special interest in menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, colposcopy and minimally invasive surgery. Petrina's practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, with a focus on achieving the best outcomes while prioritising safety and individualised care.
As a mother in a large, blended family, Petrina understands the many demands women balance in their daily lives. She strives to make healthcare accessible, supportive and straightforward, and finds great joy in helping women and families grow.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and animals, and attending live music and theatre. She is also an active member of her local parkrun community, enjoying both the physical and social aspects of running.
Dr Pip Nelson

Dr Pip Nelson is a Gynaecologist at Belle Women’s Health, providing evidence‑based, compassionate care to women across all stages of life. Pip values clear communication and takes a thoughtful, individualised approach to care, recognising that every woman’s experience and priorities are unique.
With a background in Occupational Therapy, Pip brings a holistic perspective to women’s health and a strong appreciation of how gynaecological conditions can affect daily function, wellbeing, and quality of life. Her clinical interests include the management of abnormal cervical screening tests, menstrual dysfunction, pelvic pain, menopause, and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
Pip holds a Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine, strengthening her expertise in hormonal and reproductive health. She has also completed additional training in advanced laparoscopic surgery and operative hysteroscopy, enabling her to offer a range of minimally invasive surgical options where appropriate.
She is committed to creating a safe, respectful space where women feel heard, supported, and empowered to make informed decisions about their health.
Outside of work, Pip enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s bike rides with her daughter or being part of the local running community.

Dr McLaren enjoys a substantive public role as Clinical Lead for Gynaecological and Colposcopy Services at Mater Mothers’ Hospital.
A pioneer in Vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (vNOTES), Dr McLaren uses this cutting‑edge, scar‑free technique for procedures such as hysterectomy, cancer risk‑reduction surgery (removal of tubes and/or ovaries), surgical treatment of ectopic pregnancy and ovarian cysts, and sterilisation. vNOTES offers benefits including no abdominal scars, reduced hospital stay, decreased need for pain relief, and quicker recovery. Dr McLaren first introduced this innovative technique at King’s College Hospital in London and now offers it at Mater Hospital and The Wesley.
Passionate about training the next generation, Dr McLaren is a RANZCOG Educational Supervisor and Clinical Lecturer at the University of Queensland. He actively mentors medical students and specialist trainees at Mater Mothers’ Hospital, as well as fellow gynaecologists in performing vNOTES procedures.

Dr Sarah Thomas

Dr Sarah Thomas supports patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs and has a special interest in supporting women and their families through pre‑conception planning, pregnancy and the postnatal period.
Her extensive experience spans inpatient, outpatient and consultation‑liaison settings with a strong focus on collaborative and compassionate patient‑centred care.
Sarah is also a Staff Specialist at the Mater Hospitals Brisbane within the Mater Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Team and the Advanced Epilepsy Unit. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists with specialised training in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and Perinatal Psychiatry.
In addition to consulting with Belle Women’s Health, Sarah is also the clinical lead in the Perinatal Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic at Mater Mothers’ Hospital.
She holds admitting rights to Catherine’s House Mother Baby Unit, Queensland’s first integrated perinatal mental health centre.
“My goal is to help women feel safe, heard and informed—so that every appointment ends with a clear plan, measurable progress and care that fits real life for them and their family..”
Outside of her work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her partner and young son as well as their 2 dogs. She also enjoys beach days, cooking and sewing.

With more than 25 years of combined experience coaching and supporting women, Anna and Em understand the real challenges women face, from the demands of early motherhood and postnatal recovery to navigating the shifts of perimenopause and beyond.
As founders of Soul Sister Health (and sisters in real life), they bring together extensive expertise in women’s health. Anna is an Exercise Physiologist, Em is a certified pre and postnatal trainer, and both are qualified Integrative Health Coaches. Their shared mission is to equip women with the knowledge, structure and support they need to improve their health through sustainable habits, strength training, and balanced nutrition that fits real life.
Through in-person and online training, workshops and health coaching, Anna and Em provide practical tools, evidence-based guidance and genuine support. They are dedicated to helping women build strength, confidence and long-term wellbeing.

Marg Sutherland

Marg is a warm and welcoming member of our front-of-house team, dedicated to making every patient feel at ease from the moment they step into the practice. With her approachable nature and genuine passion for helping others, she takes pride in creating a positive first impression and guiding patients through their visit with care and confidence.
Marg especially enjoys interacting with our youngest patients, always finding a moment to share a smile with the babies and their families. Her friendly presence and commitment to patient comfort make her an invaluable part of our team.
Outside of the practice, Marg finds balance through beach walks, keeping active at the gym, and spending quality time with her family.
